

HR Coordinator - Temporary position

This is a temporary position offering a contract for approx. 12 months, and will preferably start in May/June 2026.
What will you do?
As our HR Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for HR administration, system support, and payroll-related processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide general documentation and all administration support, as required, within the HR Function of your location
- Processes hires, job changes, and terminations in the full life-cycle of an employee or
contingent worker - Under general supervision, responsible for providing a positive customer experience by
responding to HR, benefits, payroll, and policy inquiries by phone and electronic
communications by taking accountability for logging, processing, and managing each inquiry to conclusion - Issuing employeement agreements including the proper terms and conditions
- Help build employee manuals and be on top of new regulations
- Maintain employee records in our HR system Workday
- Organize employee files and assemble documentation for employee and/or legal file requests
- Support process improvement projects by helping to identify recurring issues, problematic trends, and recommending changes in procedures
- Proactively evaluates and assist with HR cycle processes including policies, procedures, documents, communications, training, record keeping, etc.
- Maintain HR processes and content on company’s HR website and team’s knowledgebase
- Assist with organizing any HR events and projects as assigned
Who are you?
In order to be successful in this exciting position, you need to recognize yourself in the following profile. Ideally, you bring:
- University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in HR
- Experience in HR administration, preferably in an international or multicultural environment
- Excellent organizational, communication and networking skills
- Excellent skills in written and verbal English, as well as Icelandic
- Experience with HR systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with Workday is a plus
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- The quality of a team player
- Pro-activity and structure
- Detail focus and accuracy
- Effective time management while multi-tasking in a high-volume, deadline-oriented, and fast paced environment
