OpenEU Engagement & Impact Officer

Bifröst University is seeking a motivated and creative individual for the 80% position of OpenEU Engagement & Impact Officer. The OpenEU Engagement & Impact Officer plays a hands-on role in designing, implementing, and supporting initiatives that enhance student engagement, stakeholder interaction, and community collaboration within the OpenEU network. We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented candidate with experience in community initiatives, digital learning, or educational policy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage projects related to community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and student well-being and employability.
  • Desing, Implement, and Improve Community Engagement Strategies.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the OpenEU Virtual Community Campus and Joint Participatory Platform.
  • Create and execute initiatives that provide students with opportunities for internships, training, and career development.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to connect students and faculty with local and national communities.
  • Support the development of strategies that promote lifelong learning and social impact.
  • Take part in developing and implementing innovations in digital learning.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, contributing directly to project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience in educational program development, digital learning, or community engagement.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently on project components.
  • Creative problem-solving and implementation skills.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and participatory methods is a plus.
