VP of Finance

Your role in helping us achieve our mission

As the Vice President of Finance, you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization in collaboration with the CFO. Your exceptional financial acumen and business expertise will guide our decision-making, foster financial excellence, and drive sustainable growth. In collaboration with the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and nurture top finance talent, ensuring a strong and agile finance organization.

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives, driving long-term profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set financial targets and contribute to overall business planning.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Ensure proper financial analysis is performed to provide key insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Ensure regular financial reporting cycles to present comprehensive financial reports, including monthly business reviews, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Financial Operations and Systems:

  • Lead financial operations, including accounting, billing, collections, and cash flow management, ensuring efficient and accurate financial processes.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to optimize financial management and reporting.

Capital Allocation and Investment Decisions:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to assess investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions to support strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Oversee risk management strategies, identifying potential financial risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

Must haves

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or public accountant certification is preferred.
    • Proven track record of at least 10 years in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in a global scale-up.
  • Financial Expertise:
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management best practices.
  • Strategic Vision and Execution:
    • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Track record of driving financial performance and delivering results.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
