Truck Driver – S. Iceland ehf.

S. Iceland ehf. is looking for a reliable and skilled truck driver to join our team in Garður.

This is an interesting opportunity for an ambitious individual who enjoys practical work, responsibility, and being part of a busy production and logistics environment.

Main responsibilities

The main tasks include:

• Picking up and delivering containers and/or goods
• Loading and unloading containers and goods
• Safely operating container trucks in yards, tight spaces, and loading areas
• Supporting the factory team with other tasks when needed
• Checking vehicles and equipment and reporting maintenance issues, such as brakes, tires, lights, or other mechanical concerns
• Following company safety procedures and maintaining good working standards

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Valid C and CE driving licence
• Valid forklift licence and forklift operating skills
• Good English language skills
• Basic computer skills
• Experience handling container trucks safely, especially in tight spaces and container yards
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify and report maintenance issues
• Punctuality, responsibility, and a strong safety mindset
