Technical Writer

The Technical Writer works closely with the development teams at LS Retail in producing and maintaining the company’s online help. The Technical Writer is also responsible for collecting information from subject-matter experts and writing and publishing that content in release notes for each software version the company delivers.

The position is located in Iceland.

Develop comprehensive documentation that meets the company’s standards
Manage and publish online help for LS Retail’s solutions
Translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience
Create and manage release notes content for release versions
Maintain a document library in Git (Azure DevOps)
Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
Collaborate with development teams, quality assurance team, and support team.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Experience as an effective technical writer creating documentation and procedure instructions for various audiences
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
High-level proficiency in English
Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Strong human communication and collaborative skills
Experience in using XML, HTML, and Markdown tools to create documentation, including experience with single-sourcing and publishing tools such as MadCap Flare
Experience in working with code base like Git
Knowledge of and experience in using Business Central or LS Central desirable.
