Deild Þróunar Lyfjaframleiðsluferla og Lyfjaforma sérhæfir sig í þróun og hagræðingu framleiðsluferla og lyfjaforma fyrir líftæknilyfjahliðstæður. Þetta felur í sér:

• Þróun frumuræktunarferla (e. Cell Culture/Upstream Process Development): Þróun frumuræktunarferla til að hámarka framleiðslu og gæði próteina.
• Þróun einangrunar- og hreinsunarferla (e. Purification/Downstream Process Development): Einangrun og hreinsun próteina til að ná fram tilskildum hreinleika og virkni.
• Þróun á samsetningu lyfjaforma (e. Formulations Development) og tengdum framleiðsluferlum: Þróun stöðugra lyfjasamsetninga og framleiðsluferla lyfjaforma, sem uppfylla allar reglugerðar- og gæðakröfur.

Við leitum af áhugasömum aðilum til starfa innan þessara þriggja sérsviða, þar sem okkar lykilmarkmið er að hámarka afköst og gæði framleiðsluferla fyrir líftæknihliðstæður.

Helstu verkefni þeirra starfa sem standa til boða í deildinni fela í sér:

• Vinnu á rannsóknastofum við framkvæmdir tilrauna til þróunar á skilvirkum ferlum.
• Úrvinnslu gagna og skýrslugerð.
• Viðhald á tækjum og skipulagi rannsóknastofa.

Helstu hæfnikröfur eru eftirfarandi:

• Háskólagráða innan raunvísinda eða verkfræði (t.d. líftækni, lífefnafræði, lyfjafræði, efnafræði, líffræði, efnaverkfræði, heilbrigðisverkfræði eða skyldum greinum).
• Reynsla af sambærilegum störfum er kostur fyrir ákveðin störf en ekki skilyrði, við hvetjum því einnig nýútskrifaða háskólanema sem eru áhugasamir um að læra og vaxa í starfi, að sækja um.
• Hæfni til að tileinka sér nýjar aðferðir og sýna frumkvæði í starfi.
• Góð samskiptafærni ásamt skipulögðum-, sjálfstæðum- og öguðum vinnubrögðum.
• Mjög góð enskukunnátta, í ræðu og riti.

We are looking for ambitious and positive individuals to join a strong and cohesive team of scientists in the Process & Product Development (PPD) department for biosimilars.

In the Process & Product Development department, our scientists focus on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and formulations for biosimilars. This includes:

• Cell Culture/Upstream Process Development: Developing and optimizing cell culture processes to ensure high yield and quality of the target proteins.
• Purification/Downstream Process Development: Isolating and purifying proteins to achieve the desired purity and activity levels.
• Formulations Development: Creating stable and effective drug formulations, ensuring they meet all regulatory and quality standards.

Our projects primarily focus on enhancing efficiency, scalability, and compliance with industry standards to deliver high-quality biopharmaceuticals. The available positions are in these three specialized areas, offering opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge biopharmaceutical development.

Main scope and responsibilities for the available positions include:

• Laboratory work conducting experiments to develop efficient processes.
• Data processing and report writing.
• Maintenance of equipment and organization of laboratories.

Key qualifications include:

• A university degree in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields).
• Experience in similar roles is an advantage for certain positions but not a requirement; we also encourage recent graduates who are eager to learn and grow in their careers to apply.
• Ability to adopt new methods and show initiative in the job.
• Good communication skills along with organized, independent, and disciplined work habits.
• Excellent English proficiency, both spoken and written.
