Sales manager

The sales manager of TripCreator plays a crucial role in the company‘s success by leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue goals and drive growth. TripCreator does account based sales and the signup for our platform is gated. TripCreator works with a foreign growth hacking agency – which covers most of the lead generation and general marketing activities.

The sales manager is required to balance leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our platform to effectively drive sales and contribute to the growth and success of the platform. The position is highly involved in various parts of the company and offers a great opportunity in developing into other roles.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

·      Sales meetings, qualification of prospects, platform demonstration (online and on-site). Lead generation and communicating with the Icelandic market, inviting prospects to live demonstration on-site. Participating in or leading contract negotiations, especially for larger deals.

·      Participating in travel trade shows, in Iceland and abroad. Promote our company and platform with lectures/presentations.

·      Responsible for building, coaching, and leading our sales team. Provide guidance, motivation, and training to help sales representatives meet their targets.

·      Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals. This includes setting sales targets, forecasting, and planning for future growth.

·      Identifying and targeting potential customers, both in terms of new markets and existing clients, to increase the user base of our platform.

·      Continuously improving the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This includes refining lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes. Managing the sales pipeline, ensuring that leads and opportunities are progressing through the sales funnel effectively. Setting up and getting to know various tools and accounts used in sales- and marketing activities.

·      Monitoring and analyzing sales team performance and taking corrective actions when necessary.

·      Utilizing CRM tools to track interactions with potential and existing customers, ensuring follow-ups, and maintaining a comprehensive database of customer information. Gathering and relaying customer feedback to the product development team for continuous product improvement.

·      Staying updated on the features, benefits, and applications of our platform to effectively communicate its value to customers.

·      Being familiar with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

·      Generating sales reports and providing insights through data analysis to make informed decisions and adjustments. Forecasting future sales revenue based on historical data and current market conditions.

·      Collaborating with our growth hacking agency on marketing related activities and ad/content creation, customer success, and product development to ensure alignment in the overall growth strategy.

·      Providing ongoing training and development opportunities to sales representatives to enhance their skills and knowledge.

·      Focusing on customer retention strategies to reduce churn and increase customer lifetime value.

  • You bring a minimum of five years sales experience within the traveltech industry or equalivent.
  • You have knowledge of the needs of travel professionals in terms of software solutions, when it comes to day-to-day activities, when creating proposals and itineraries.
  • You have experience of leading teams to drive revenue.
  • You demonstrate strong ethics, integrity, and the passion to succeed in a challenging but rewarding environment.
  • You demonstrate strong initiative and superior ability to think creatively, coupled with excellent presentation, written, and overall communication skills.
  • You have the ability to travel as opportunities require.
  • You have a proven track record of managing complex sales situations and have had substantial success in developing new markets and establishing a comprehensive sales channel.
