Vinnustaðurinn

QC Potency Senior Scientist

Reporting to QC Bioassay Team Leader, this is a hands-on laboratory-based position. Employee will participate in QC Bioassay testing using cell-based bioassays (potency assays) and cell banking, required for product stability and release of our biosimilar products.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Cell-based bioassays (potency assays)
Preparing master and working cell banks
Microscopy work
Aseptic practices
Creation of testing protocols and reports
Analytical data collection, interpretation and ensuring proper documentation of experimental data.
Summary and presentation of results in meetings
Support Technology transfer/validation testing.
Competency in the use of pipettes and other laboratory instruments
Performing routine cleaning, verification and upkeep of laboratory and equipment
Performing stock checks
Provide technical training as needed.
Reviewing and completion of laboratory documentation
Reviewing cell bank production testing documentation
Provide technical support where required.
Good documentation practices
Performing activities required to support testing, e.g. buffer/media preparation
Qualification and optimisation of critical reagents e.g. reference material.
Identifying required document changes and updating of quality documentation
Be able to work in accordance with GMP practices, conducting all activities in a compliant manner.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Education: M.Sc/Phd. in Life Science (Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Virology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics etc)
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in performing potency assays, cell culture and ligand binding assays. Knowledge and experience of working within a GMP environment is a plus.
