QC Potency Scientist

Reporting to QC Bioassay Team Leader, this is a hands-on laboratory-based position. Employee will participate in QC Bioassay testing using cell-based bioassays (potency assays) and cell banking, required for product stability and release of our biosimilar products.

Scope and responsibility:

Perform Potency assays and Ligand binding assays in QC testing and method trending.
Maintenance and propagation of cell culture required for potency assays.
Making and qualification of new cell banks for potency assay when required.
Potency and ligand binding assay data collection, interpretation, and ensuring proper documentation of experimental data.
Performs both routine tasks within procedures and processes and non-routine tasks, such as Invalid assays, Deviations, Change Control, CAPAs, OOS/OOT/OOE, and investigation actions.
Work in accordance with GMP practices, conducting all activities in a compliant manner.

Job Requirements:

M.Sc. in Life Science (Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Virology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc.) with 2+ years of relevant experience in performing potency assays, cell culture, and ligand binding assays. Knowledge and experience working within a GMP environment are a plus.
Strong ability to organize your activity, work well under deadlines in a dynamic environment, and work collaboratively.
Familiar with statistical and data analysis software such as Excel and Softmax Pro.
Experience in cell maintenance and propagation.
