QA Analyst

CCP Games is looking for a QA Analyst to help develop our expanding universe.

The team member selected for this role will participate in the development cycle for new features and technology from initial design all the way to release. They will assist in improving team practices for testing and identifying areas where test efforts can be adjusted or expanded.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of current game standards and features, computer hardware (CPU/GPU), and modern software development tools. They are highly organized and methodical in scoping, planning, and testing and have a keen eye for detail. Any experience with coding and debugging is beneficial. Familiarity with online games like EVE Online is heavily valued.

Your tasks:

• Scope, plan, and execute functionality, compatibility, and performance testing of new features and changes
• Participate in feature planning and effort prioritization by evaluating risk and providing time estimations on work
• Analyze, report, and collaborate with a distributed team and outsourced QA providers
• Work closely with engineers, artists, designers, and fellow quality analysts to address issues and make recommendations resulting in improved test coverage and high product confidence

Your Profile:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience or educational background in a relevant field such as Print Publishing, Quality Assurance, or Software Development
• A software development professional with interest in undertaking quality assurance tasks and responsibilities on a multi-disciplinary team
• A curious investigator skilled at identifying problems, determining causes, and adapting solutions per the needs of the project
• A great communicator able to convey risks, issues, considerations, and requirements to all members of the team in a dynamic and diverse culture
