Móttökustarfsmaður | Front Desk Agent

Exeter Hotel is looking for a positive, enthusiastic and service oriented Front Desk Agent for day shifts.

Main responsibilities are reception duties according to quality and brand standards of the hotel. The goal is to provide the perfect first impression of the hotel and deliever exemplary service to all guests of the hotel.

Tasks and Responsibilites

  • Guest Services

    • Manage efficient check-in and check-out processes.
    • Keep accurate records of room assignments and guest information.
    • Provide superior service to all guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
    • Personalize service to enhance guest experiences.
    • Communicate with guests before, during, and after their stay.
    • Handle reservations, special requests, and inquiries.
    • Assist guests with booking tours, activities & transportation.
    • Provide information and recommendations on local attractions and restaurants.
  • Billing and Invoicing

    • Process guest payments and manage invoices accurately.
    • Address billing inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Housekeeping & Management Coordination

    • Work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready and maintained.
    • Communicate any special room requirements or issues.
    • Keep management informed about guest feedback and operational needs.
    • Report significant incidents or complaints.
  • Sales & Reputation Contribution

    • Help achieve front office and sales goals by promoting hotel services.
    • Participate in efforts to improve guest satisfaction and revenue.
    • Encourage guests to leave positive reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor and Google.
    • Address and resolve any issues that might negatively impact guest reviews.
    • Monitor and respond to online reviews to maintain a superior reputation and contribute to higher rankings.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Icelandic and a third language is a plus.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Hygienic, elegant presence and punctual.
  • Positive, adaptable, and good at problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with GODO PMS and previous hotel experience are advantages.
