Microbiology Lab Shift Lead

The QC Product Testing Shift Lead in the Microbiology Lab is responsible for overseeing the microbiological testing operations during their assigned shift. This role ensures that all testing activities related to microbial analysis are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards, particularly Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The Shift Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring product safety by monitoring and managing microbial testing processes, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring that all laboratory activities meet stringent quality standards.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Lead team to ensure timely completion of daily activities.
Manage shift schedules and working hours.
Review microbiology documentation and update procedures.
Participate in Aseptic Process Simulation and method verification.
Provide training and support on procedures and practices.
Manage CAPA, deviations, investigations, and regulatory submissions.
Prepare validation protocols, SOPs, and summary reports.
Support equipment maintenance and rectification.
Act as SME for dossier preparation and regulatory inspections.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

University degree in microbiology or related field.
Significant industry experience.
Preferred direct experience in the field of Microbiology.
Strong interest in assuming leadership responsibilities, including target achievement, mentoring, and fostering an accountable team culture.
Strong organizational skills for efficient shift management.
Strong understanding of microbial analysis and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in Aseptic Process Simulation and CAPA management
Exceptional documentation and technical skills
Detail-oriented with project management abilities
Continuous improvement mindset
