

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
The Icelandic Red Cross is seeking a dedicated Project Officer specializing in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, with proficiency in spoken and written Ukrainian, to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of the Health Projects Team Manager. The position is based in Reykjavík (Efstaleiti) with occasional travel requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions to equip volunteers with psychosocial support skills.
- Coordinate training initiatives across the country.
- Adapt and develop training materials in English and Ukrainian.
- Provide support and supervision to volunteers.
- Assist with report writing
- Undertake other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- A relevant university degree.
- Experience in teaching, training, and/or public speaking.
- Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine interest in working with people.
- Knowledge of refugee issues.
- Familiarity with the work of the Red Cross is advantageous.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Ukrainian.
- Strong general computer skills.
