IT Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and advancing our IT infrastructure. As the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, you’ll collaborate with third-party partners, manage key projects, and ensure compliance with industry standards.   • Manage IT hardware and software projects with other departments, including planning, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Develop training materials and conduct IT orientation sessions for new users to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Monitor compliance with data security policies to safeguard sensitive information and ensure alignment with FAA, TSA, and IATA regulations.
  • Oversee software licensing and conduct regular system audits to identify improvement areas and maintain optimal performance.
  • Implement incident response and contingency protocols to minimize disruptions during outages or security breaches.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and provide recommendations for their implementation to support company growth and efficiency.
  • Prepare cost estimates for new equipment and potential upgrades.
Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) preferred.
  • 3+ years of IT support experience, ideally in the transportation or airline industry.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking, hardware support, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of airline-specific platforms, including ticketing and reservation systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR), with experience in incident response protocols.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Jira, YouTrack, or Asana.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Flexibility for shift work and willingness to travel occasionally as required.
