Nepsone is a preclinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing drugs to treat dermatological conditions that arise due to an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system. Currently, these conditions are believed to originate in the immune system. Nepsone foundational neuroimmunology theory on the origin of psoriasis teaches us that an imbalance in neuropeptide activity in the body leads to these conditions. Our drugs are designed to utilize the body’s natural mechanisms to bring back balance and alleviate the disease.

Head of Development

We are seeking a Head of Development to lead and oversee research and drug development activities, from early-stage discovery to clinical trials and regulatory submissions. This pivotal role involves strategic leadership, team mentorship, and active collaboration with external partners to drive our mission forward.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Key responsibility includes research and drug development activities from early-stage research to clinical trials and filing of regulatory approval documents.
Lead and mentor a team of drug development scientists with strong focus on continuous innovation and efficient project execution.
Develop and manage partnerships with development partners including CDMOs, CROs, and other industry partners.
Ensure all research and development work is carried out in line with international regulatory standards

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Advanced degree M.Sc, Ph.D, or equivalent in a relevant field in life sciences including pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, molecular biology, or biochemistry.
Extensive experience in biotech/pharma, specifically in drug development and clinical trials.
Strong leadership skills with experience in senior management in R&D of more than five years.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience in interacting with regulatory agencies.
