Flight Operations Engineer

Air Atlanta is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our Flight Operations Engineering team. The department supports the airline’s operational safety, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance by managing technical systems and operational procedures, including flight planning, aircraft performance, navigational data, route studies, dispatch support, and documentation control.

  • Conduct aerodrome evaluations and route studies, including categorization and usability assessments.
  • Create and update aerodrome crew briefings.
  • Maintain and manage route and aerodrome databases.
  • Monitor flight plans and briefing packages to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the flight planning system and briefing content distributed to Flight Crew EFBs.
  • Coordinate the distribution and updating of FMS Navigation and EGPWS databases.
  • Maintain applicable sections in the Route Information Manual (OM-C), and support updates to other Flight Operations documentation as applicable.
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials related to flight operations systems and dispatch procedures.
  • Provide technical support to Flight Dispatch and other operational teams.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of dispatch procedures and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to the airline’s fuel efficiency program by analyzing operational data, identifying optimization opportunities, and supporting the implementation of best practices.
Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in airline flight operations.
  • Previous or current Flight Dispatcher (FOO) licence is an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of airline operations and flight dispatch.
  • Familiarity with operational manuals and AOC specifications.
  • Awareness of fuel efficiency principles and experience with operational or performance data analysis is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret operational data.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional with strong initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
