Education Producer

You love editing and you want to edit something that matters to the people watching. At 50skills, video is becoming the way we teach: product explainers, tutorials, customer stories, event films and short cuts, all of it running through your hands from raw footage to the finished cut. You will learn the product deeply enough to make the cut match what is being said, down to how the mouse moves on screen.

This is an in-house role, not a contract, on purpose. The people who make our content need to know the product as well as the people who sell it, and that only happens from inside.

What you will do

• Edit: cut product, tutorial, customer and event footage into finished video, weekly
• Shoot and record: own the shot list and the capture plan, so every shoot comes back usable
• Build the studio with the Head of Education: sound, light, look, and the templates that keep it consistent
• Learn the product: build workflows yourself, so your cuts explain rather than decorate
• Grow into producing: scripts, graphics, camera, presenting. The path from editor to producer is open and we expect you to take it
• Use AI daily to move faster in research, cutting and feedback

Who you are

• You can edit, and it shows. Bring a reel. Which software does not matter
• Fresh from the video world is fine: film school, a channel of your own, a production job. Curiosity beats years
• You want to understand the thing you are cutting, not just receive a brief
• You ship, then improve. You do not wait for perfect
• Someone people enjoy working with
• Fluent English

Nice to have

• Writing: if you can script as well as cut, say so
• Motion graphics, animation, sound design
• Comfortable on camera
• Icelandic or Swedish

First 3 months

• Fluent in in our products
• Studio and templates set up with the Head of Education
• Weekly cuts shipping to the standard you both agreed

First 12 months

• A library of tutorials and explainers you cut, watched to the end
• You are scripting and shooting pieces of your own, not only editing others'
• Your first piece in front of the camera, if you want it

Practicalities

• Reports to the Head of Education. Works with our Marketing Manager, on placement and timing
• Iceland preferred, so shoot days with the CEO are easy to arrange
