- Design, implement, and optimize database systems to meet user requirements.
- Ensure database performance, security, regular backups, and data protection compliance.
- Manage database indexes, partitions, user access, and scalability plans.
- Diagnose and resolve database issues, providing technical support.
- Collaborate with developers and IT teams on application issues, deployments, and data migration.
- Maintain documentation and plan for system upgrades.
- 5-8 years of database administration experience.
- Proficiency in in one or more SQL technologies (MSSQL Server, MySQL, Cassandra, DB2) and SQL scripting.
- Experienced in performance tuning, optimization, and high-availability setups.
- Knowledge of backup, recovery procedures, and data security best practices.
- Experience with DevOps tools and cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- On-call availability for urgent database issues may be required.
