Cultivation specialist
Algalíf is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic cultivation specialist to join its Scale-up team. The position entails taking active part in daily microalgae Scale-up cultivation operations of the company.

As a result of strong growth and expansion, the company is now seeking a Cultivation specialist to join the team of experts at Algalíf.
Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð
- Daily operation of scale-up cultivation process:
- Medium preparation
- Culture transfer
- Sample analysis and monitoring
- Contamination control (microscope analysis etc.)
- Cleaning of Scale-up lab and equipment
- Preparation of quality documents
Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur
- University degree in microbiology, biology, biotechnology or a similar field is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience of work in aseptic environment and algae/microbial cultivation is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently but also as a part of a larger Scale-up team.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Very good level of English (writing, communication) needed.
