

Canteen Supervisor / Matráður
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Canteen Supervisor to oversee our busy office canteen serving around 250 employees. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day operations, ensure excellent food quality, and create a welcoming dining experience.
You will be part of a success-driven and growing environment, reporting to the Office Manager. This role is based in our Reykjavík headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily canteen operations together with a small team of canteen staff
- Oversee food orders, serving, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Handle budget administration and cost control
- Respond to employee feedback and dietary requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience of canteen work and/or preparing food for larger groups
- Education in gastronomy is an advantage, but not required
- Strong communication skills
- Self-confidence and strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Budget management experience
- Customer service orientation
