Analytical Development Scientist (R&D)

We are looking for skilled and motivated scientists to join the analytical research and development team at Alvotech, Reykjavik. We currently have open positions at the scientist and senior scientist levels. Each of the selected candidates will join a team focused on a specific analytical technology (i.e. Chromatography, Electrophoresis or Finished Product Testing). After receiving comprehensive training, analytical development scientists are involved in sample analysis to support product development and regulatory submissions, as well as development and validation of new analytical methods for characterization and quality control of Alvotech’ s biopharmaceutical products.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Developing analytical methods, writing method development reports.
Writing validation protocols and reports and executing validation of analytical methods.
Performing sample analysis as part of development programs.
Contributing to the writing of regulatory documentation.
Performing routine cleaning, verification and upkeep of laboratory and equipment.
Qualification and optimization of critical reagents e.g., reference material.
Identifying required document changes and updating of quality documentation
Reviewing and completion of laboratory documentation.
Provide technical training and support as needed.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

A university degree in a relevant subject. Relevant professional experience is desirable but only a requirement for Senior Scientist position.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
GMP experience is desired but not necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail and precise work habit

About the Department:

The ARD department is a part of the R&D organization within Alvotech. The main role is to develop and validate analytical methods, analyse samples as a part of development programs as well as participate in execution of analytical strategies and support preparation of all regulatory documentation.
