Our Properties: Reykjavík Residence Hotel: Operating since 2011 in 101 Reykjavík, this establishment offers elegant hotel apartments in beautifully renovated buildings on Hverfisgata, Lindargata, Vatnsstígur, and Veghúsastígur. Many of our buildings are historically significant, and during renovations, their original appearance has been preserved, honouring their history. ODDSSON Midtown Hotel: Located at Grensásvegur 16a, this hotel focuses on affordable accommodation. It opened in 2019, with operations under our management since 2020. ODDSSON Downtown Hotel: Situated at Háteigsvegur 1, this hotel also emphasizes affordable lodging. It opened in 2024. Tower Suites Reykjavík: A luxury accommodation on the top floor of Katrínartún 2, offering stays in 8 suites. Operations began in 2016 and have been under our management since 2018. Port9 Wine Bar: A hidden gem at Veghúsastígur 9, pioneering in its field and Reykjavík's oldest operating wine bar since 2016. In-port9 imports light wines from Europe, with operations starting in 2023. Flóra Hotels is owned by Íslensk fjárfesting.

Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance supervisor to join our team at Flóra Hotels. This is a full-time, year-round position, offering the opportunity to work in a unique and dynamic hospitality environment.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and manages the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are properly assigned, executed, and completed efficiently. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing the day-to-day upkeep of our hotel properties. This includes preventive maintenance, responding to repair needs, and ensuring that all facilities are safe, fully functional, and in excellent condition for both guests and staff.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Perform routine maintenance and repairs across Flóra hotels buildings.

Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests.

Ensure guest accommodations and communal areas meet safety and quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Lead external contractors or maintenance team as needed and contribute to maintenance planning.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role.

Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.

Ability to work independently, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Good communication skills; proficiency in English is required (knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage).

Valid driver’s license.

Physical ability to perform manual tasks.

Supervisor or team lead experience is an advantage.

Hæfniskröfur

· Reynsla af viðhaldsstörfum eða sambærilegu tæknilegu starfi.

· Haldbær þekking á algengum vélbúnaði, rafkerfum og/eða pípulögnum.

· Sjálfstæð og lausnamiðuð vinnubrögð.

· Góð samskiptahæfni og jákvætt viðmót.

· Gott vald á ensku, kunnátta í íslensku er kostur.

· Bílpróf er skilyrði.

· Líkamlegt úthald og geta til að sinna fjölbreyttum verkefnum við ólíkar aðstæður.

· Reynsla af því að leiða teymi er kostur.
