Forklift Operator

Operates a stand-up electric forklift to move pallets of merchandise and equipment around the warehouse. Disposes the pallets at the right place following department’s security and safety procedures.

Must be able to work from 5AM.

Starting Rate (Daytime) - 3,220 Per hour

Completes daily forklift safety checklist and follows safety procedures. Ensures all truck wheels are chocked, reports if not. Charges forklift batteries up to battery changer.
Ensures people keep safety distance with operating forklift. Ensures to signal position at aisle crossings.
Transfers merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage or directly to shop floor.
Moves pallets of merchandise from the steel shelving and the bulk wall to the sales area using stand-up electric forklift based on written list, verbal instruction and observation of low stock.
Removes empty pallets from shop floor using stand-up electric forklift. Stack empty pallets outside near receiving area.
Communicates with shop floor manager to set priorities and determine product placement.
Wraps pallets in plastic film with a product tag prior disposing on steel shelves.
Assists with stocking, removes sales floor debris, observes and ensures correct product signage. Tags unmarked product with its item number.
Provides prompt and courteous service.
Ensures proper cleanup of hazardous material spills.
