Experienced Hotel Receptionist - Full-Time / Long-Term Contract (Starting Oct 1st)

Join Our Team at Hotel Dyrhólaey – South Iceland

We are a popular 150-room hotel located just 10 minutes outside Vík, in the beautiful countryside of South Iceland, and we operate year-round.

We're hiring a receptionist to join our team — someone who is trained and already has experience in hotels or similar environments. The ideal candidate should be naturally confident when talking to and advising guests about their stay and the local area, and able to work confidently with our systems to keep everything running smoothly in a hotel of this size.

They should also share our values of teamwork, positivity, and creating a great workplace — so our guests can enjoy the best possible stay.

This is a long-term position.

About You:

• You already have at least 1 year of experience working in a hotel reception or a similar environment, and you understand the fundamentals of guest service, check-in/out, and room management.

• You speak fluent English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.

• You’re flexible, proactive, and bring a positive attitude to work.

• You are proficient in Godo PMS or have experience with other hotel property management software.

Please note: This position is open exclusively to applicants with prior hotel receptionist experience. Applications without this background will not be considered.

Shifts:

• 7–9 hours per day depending on the shift

• Mixture of morning and evening shifts

• Possibility of night shifts (based on your preference)

Start Date: The position begins on October 1st, 2025.
