Flugumsjónarmenn starfa í stjórnstöð Icelandair, Operations Control Center, (OCC). Starf flugumsjónarmanna felst í því að undirbúa hvert flug sem farið er á vegum félagsins, gera flugáætlanir, safna saman veðurupplýsingum ásamt NOTAM upplýsingum og koma þeim til flugmanna fyrir hverja brottför.

The department is part of the Supply Chain, which operates under Technical Operations at Icelandair. It´s role includes overseeing all procurment for aircraft in Technical Services at Icelandair.

Responsibilities:





 - Managing material procurement for Icelandair aircraft and other aircraft serviced by Technical Operations, primarily those owned by Icelandair, Icelandair Cargo, and Loftleidir.




The department is divided into three main units:





 - AOG (Aircraft on Ground): Staff provide 24/7 support for the company’s aircraft.
