Project Director

atNorth is a leading Nordic data center company providing cost-effective, scalable high-density colocation and built-to-suit services to industry-leading organizations across Iceland, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.

As part of its continued growth, atNorth is hiring two Project Directors for its Delivery team – One based at ICE02 in Reykjanesbær and one at ICE03 in Akureyri.

In this key role, you will be responsible for leading large-scale data center projects from construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety targets. You will work closely with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center program/portfolio
Drive project performance across schedule, budget, quality and HSE targets
Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants and contractors
Manage project risks, reporting and governance
Oversee contract administration, variations and claims
Act as the primary delivery interface towards customers
Support commissioning, testing and operational handover
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Background & Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field
Extensive experience leading large-scale construction, infrastructure or industrial projects
Strong knowledge of project delivery, contracts and commercial management
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Experience from data centers, mission-critical facilities, energy or other complex infrastructure projects is an advantage
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is beneficial
Fluent in English
