Operations Manager

We at EastWest are looking for a full-time operations manager that can organize our tour guides' schedules for our tours, oversee our fleet of vehicles (minibuses) and other tasks required according to the position.

We are looking to hire an active, dynamic and resourceful person who can work closely with other team members but is comfortable working independently too.

This is a long-term position, and the applicant should be able to start working as soon as possible. The applicant must have an Icelandic kennitala and reside in Iceland.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Organize the tour guides´schedules (both for contractors and guides on payroll)
Compile pick-up lists for the guides
Answer phone calls from guides and take action in case of emergency
Coordinate with the booking department
Oversee our fleet and make sure all the vehicles are ready for the tours
Have overall control over day-to-day operations
Develop future projects, optimize current operations, and participate in the company's strategy and planning

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Experience in the tourism industry is required
Very good command of English, both spoken and written
D driver's license is a significant plus
Strong planning, multi-tasking and organizational skills, a great ability to see the big picture and think ahead.
Experience as a tour guide is a plus
Good general computer skills
