Matreiðslumaður/matráður - Canteen Chef

Við leitum að drífandi og jákvæðum einstaklingi með ástríðu fyrir matargerð í starf matreiðslumanns/matráðs í mötuneyti starfsfólks í viðhaldsskýli Icelandair á Keflavíkurflugvelli. Viðkomandi kemur til með að starfa með matreiðslumeistara í frábærum hópi starfsfólks.
Það borða að jafnaði 280 manns í hádeginu alla virka daga og um 40 manns á kvöldin. Vinnutíminn er frá 7-15 alla virka daga og það er möguleiki á kvöld og helgarvinnu eftir samkomulagi.

- Þátttaka í skipulagningu og matseðlagerð
- Uppþvottur og þrif
- Önnur verkefni í mötuneyti
Hæfnikröfur
- Iðnmenntun í matvælagreinum sem nýtist í starfi
- Marktæk reynsla af vinnu í mötuneyti eða í sambærilegu starfi

We are looking for a driven and positive individual with a passion for cooking to work as a chef in the staff canteen at Icelandair’s maintenance hangar at Keflavík Airport. The successful candidate will work alongside a head chef in a great team of employees.
Approximately 280 people have lunch daily during weekdays, and about 40 people have dinner in the evenings. Working hours are from 7 am to 3 pm on weekdays, with the possibility of evening and weekend shifts by agreement.
Key responsibilities:
- Cooking, baking, and food preparation
- Participating in planning and menu creation
- Dishwashing and cleaning
- Other tasks in the canteen
Qualifications:
- Vocational education in food-related fields relevant to the job
- Proven experience working in a canteen or a similar role
- Passion and strong skills in cooking and baking
- Knowledge of vegetarian cuisine is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Cleanliness and punctuality
