Director of Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting

Alvotech is looking for a Director of Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting to lead and strengthen our global financial reporting function. This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for overseeing the group consolidation process, ensuring high-quality IFRS reporting, and supporting complex technical accounting matters across our international operations. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-growing global environment and to partner closely with senior stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information

  • Prepare and review manual consolidation adjustments (e.g. intercompany eliminations, FX, equity accounting) and maintain consolidation rules and reporting structures

  • Prepare and review consolidated IFRS financial statements and statutory accounts for key legal entities, including disclosures and supporting documentation

  • Act as key contact for external auditors and support audit processes end-to-end

  • Analyze and support complex IFRS accounting matters and ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the group

  • Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the business

  • Collaborate with group and local finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders (Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Systems)

  • Provide technical accounting insights to senior management

  • Drive continuous improvement of consolidation, reporting processes, systems, and internal controls

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g. Icelandic CPA or equivalent) is a plus

  • 5–10 years of experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, or technical accounting

  • Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience with consolidated reporting and group close processes

  • Experience in a listed environment and/or Big 4 background is highly desirable

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with consolidation/reporting systems (e.g. SAP)

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Structured, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced international environment

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to engage senior stakeholders

  • High integrity and sound professional judgment
