

Sales Manager
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for travel? Iceland Travel is looking for a Sales Manager, a new role within the sales team. We are looking for someone who can energize our team, drive results, and bring fresh momentum to our sales operations.
In this role, you'll lead projects and initiatives within a talented team, working collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve ambitious growth targets. This is not a people management position, you'll focus on driving sales excellence, sharing best practices, and being a go-to resource for the team, while taking ownership of key sales initiatives.
This role reports to Director of Sales and is based in our head-office Orka in Suðurlandsbraut, Reykjavík.
Main responsibilities
· Organize and manage sales actions within the team
· Drive results and maintain accountability
· Support account managers and track processes
· Participate in trade shows and sales calls in Iceland and abroad. Socialize with clients
and industry partners
· Maintain and expand local and international network in tourism
· Follow industry sales trends and developments in services in Icelandic tourism
· Report on and track sales progress, margin and services
Required skills and experience
· Good track record in sales.
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
· Positive, flexible, and service-minded attitude.
· Strong ability to work in a team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Good knowledge of English and Icelandic, spoken and written. Other languages are a
plus.
· Computer proficiency and enthusiasm for learning new platforms.
· Relevant qualifications and experience.
· Good knowledge of Iceland as a destination.
· Experience in tourism sales is a plus.
