Newrest Iceland, a company specialising in in-flight catering (preparation of cabin loads) is looking for a Line Driver Supervisor to join its teams at KEFLAVIK airport, Icleand. As part of our operational team that manages the plant, the Line Driver Supervisor will be responsible for driving one of two automatic lines:

Robotic Pick and Pack Line
Robotic Tray-Set-Up Line

The Line Driver Supervisor will be responsible for configuring and controlling this production line and the operators attached to it in order to produce meals or loads in accordance with internal processes, Food and Hygiene Safety and Quality regulations.

As the captain of the line, as such the Line Driver Supervisor is the guarantor of the quality of its production and performance:

Set up lines and plan production orders to deliver them on time.
Organize and supply the production line to carry out production orders.
Carry out and supervise line start-up, maintenance and shutdown sequences.
Manage the line during production: launch of production orders, balancing of operator stations, manage production stoppages (level 0 troubleshooting or maintenance call).
Ensure that the control plan is carried out and report process or result deviations.
Produce the daily activity report: performance, incidents, etc. and the transfer to the team that succeeds you.
Participate in the continuous improvement process alongside the rest of the operational team (maintenance, quality, etc.) by suggesting areas for improvement (ergonomics, maintenance, organization, etc.)

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Graduated with a BTS or with a solid experience of 3-5 years in a similar position (A first experience in the agri-food sector would be ideal).
Having a team spirit, being good at interpersonal skills, willing, organized, logical and methodical are the character traits sought and significant of success in this position.
