We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Professional to join our team at at our hotel located on the scenic South Coast of Iceland. This is a full-time, year-round position offering the opportunity to work in a unique and dynamic hospitality environment.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Professional will be responsible for overseeing and executing the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel’s physical infrastructure. This includes conducting preventative maintenance, attending to repair needs, and ensuring that all facilities remain safe, functional, and in excellent condition for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across a range of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, heating, carpentry, and general fixtures

• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and resolve issues proactively

• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests

• Ensure guest accommodations and communal areas meet safety and quality standards

• Assist with seasonal and weather-related tasks (e.g., snow removal)

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar technical role

• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Ability to work independently, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

• Good communication skills; proficiency in English is required (knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage)

• Valid driver’s license

• Physical ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions
