ARD Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a motivated laboratory technician to join the analytical research and development team at Alvotech, Reykjavik. The selected candidate will be involved with a wide variety of laboratory work, both on independent tasks and assisting scientist on their projects. There will be a focus on sample testing using compendial methods, including for example Osmolality and pH testing and visual inspection. All new employees receive comprehensive training before commencing independent work.

The ARD department is a part of the R&D organization within Alvotech. The main role is to develop and validate analytical methods, analyse samples as a part of development programs as well as participate in execution of analytical strategies and support preparation of all regulatory documentation.

Sample testing by compendial methods (i.e. Osmolality, pH, visual inspection and more)
Routine cleaning, verification and upkeep of laboratory and equipment
Preparation of buffers and solutions for analytical testing
Preparation of test samples for various analytical methods
Stock checks
Assistance to scientists as requested by manager

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

High school diploma or laboratory work experience
Excellent communication skills
Fluent command of the English language, both written and verbal
GMP experience is desired but not necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Attention to detail and precise work habits
