Summer Season Server/Barista

We are looking for a vibrant and energetic Server to join our team for the summer season at The Laundromat Café in Reykjavík. As a "social storyteller" in our unique hub, you'll be at the heart of our lively atmosphere. We're looking for someone who brings a relaxed but proactive energy to our team and can provide "impressively helpful" service to our global crowd of guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient table service in our busy cafe and dining area.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso drinks as a skilled barista.
• Share your knowledge of our menu, including our famous brunches, signature pancakes, and local craft beers.
• Help maintain our unique environment, including our extensive book collection and laundry facilities.
• Handle transactions accurately and manage guest inquiries with a positive attitude.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure every guest feels at home.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant or cafe environment.
• Proven barista skills with experience operating espresso machines and latte art.
• A proactive, "can-do" attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Icelandic or other languages is a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure during the busy summer season.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
