Software Engineer (Entry-Level)

We’re looking for an Entry-Level Software Engineer who’s eager to learn, build, and grow within a collaborative and high-performing product development team. At Pollard Digital Solutions, you’ll join a supportive environment where experienced engineers will mentor you as you work on real, impactful projects from day one.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a modern, cloud-native microservice platform while developing strong foundations in software craftsmanship and agile delivery practices. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team and report to an Engineering Manager.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the development of software solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and teammates

  • Write clean, readable, and testable code using object-oriented design under guidance and code reviews

  • Participate in team ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to discussions

  • Learn about our platform, development practices, and tools as part of a structured onboarding experience

  • Support troubleshooting and bug fixing in both development and production environments

  • Grow your understanding of software design, version control, automated testing, and cloud-native systems

  • A motivated learner who is curious about how software is built, tested, deployed, and operated

  • A good communicator who enjoys working in a team and sharing knowledge

  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a strong desire to write clean, maintainable code

  • Open to feedback and eager to continuously improve your technical and collaboration skills

  • Enthusiastic about contributing to real-world systems and learning modern engineering practices

What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar

  • Understanding of design, coding, object-oriented concepts and basic software development principles, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, and debugging

  • Some exposure (via coursework, projects, or internships) to web development or backend services is a plus

  • Willingness to learn technologies we use, such as Spring Boot, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
