Biomar Iceland

Sales & Logistics Coordinator

Be at the heart of delivering value to our customers

At BioMar Iceland, every customer order reflects a relationship built on trust, partnership and sustainable aquaculture. As our Sales and Logistics Co-ordinator, you play a critical role in reinforcing that partnership through outstanding service.

You will act as the vital connection between our customers, commercial teams, production, logistics partners and colleagues across the wider BioMar network, helping ensure products reach the right place, at the right time and to the highest quality standards.

Make a difference in how we serve our customers

This newly created role is central to delivering a seamless customer experience and reliable order fulfilment across the supply chain. From customer order through to delivery and invoicing, you will own the full process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and excellent service at every stage.

As the first person in this position, you will help shape how the role evolves. Your ideas, insights and experience will support process development, strengthen customer support and identify opportunities to improve how we work.

Success in this role comes from being organised, proactive and collaborative. You will anticipate issues, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and help keep deliveries on track in a fast-paced environment.

What you will focus on

  • Co-ordinating customer orders from receipt through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timely execution.

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, managing enquiries, providing updates and resolving issues professionally and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate stock records and oversee stock movements, transfers, and adjustments within ERP systems.

  • Prepare and verify shipping, export, and import documentation, working closely with logistics providers and other BioMar business units.

  • Review production and delivery plans, identifying potential risks and communicating any supply challenges up to four weeks in advance.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination across the supply chain.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, operational performance, and process efficiency.

What does success look like in the role

You enjoy working at the intersection of customer service, logistics and coordination, locally and internationally, where no two days are the same. You are highly organised, manage multiple priorities and take ownership through to resolution.

You communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and understand the importance of collaboration in delivering an exceptional customer experience. With strong attention to detail and a solution-focused mindset, you use data, systems and insights to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.

Most importantly, you take pride in delivering a reliable and professional service that helps our customers succeed.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally involving international logistics, exports, or imports.

  • Experience working with customer forecasting, demand planning, order management, or supply chain coordination.

  • Practical experience using ERP systems and maintaining accurate stock, order, and customer data.

  • Good understanding of stock control, logistics processes, and supply chain operations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business systems.

  • Fluency in English and proficiency in both written and spoken Icelandic.

Grow your career while supporting sustainable aquaculture

Joining BioMar means becoming part of a global organisation with a clear purpose: creating sustainable solutions for aquaculture. In this role, you will work closely with customers, production teams, logistics providers and colleagues across our international business, gaining valuable exposure to end-to-end supply chain operations.

We offer a supportive, collaborative environment where continuous improvement is encouraged, development opportunities are available, and your contribution directly impacts customer success. This is a unique opportunity to join BioMar Iceland during an exciting period of growth and help establish a role that will become fundamental to how we serve our customers and support our operations in the years ahead.
