Sales Engineer - Backfill
Main role is to challenge the input of the sales people and act as gatekeeper to the input to the sales back office. Also to coordinate responses and support to the sales teams.ot ready.
The position is temporary until 01.01.2020.
- Act as main office based point of contact for Account Managers, Area Sales Managers and agents working within a given region.
- Challenge the input of the sales people and act as gatekeepers to the input to the Sales Back Office quotation/layout generation process.
- Responsible for coordinating responses and support to the sales teams.
- Responsible for translating an inquiry/question from the sales network into a correct quotation (Level 2/3) based on customer need identified, and lay-out designs and input from others in Sales Center, Tech Center, Innovation, Product Groups.
- Technical background and engineering education is required.
- Requires strong communication and cultural skills, to connect with people in relevant regions.
- Confident and assertive, able to challenge sales people and drive sales process internally.
- Strong process and solutions knowledge.
- Thorough and detailed, able to diligently make many quotations with standard and consistent appearance and quality.
- Commercial capabilities with good understanding of contract terms such as payment and delivery conditions, as well as pricing and margin calculation.
- Engineering or technical degree preferred.
