Icelandair is seeking a Flight Data Manager to oversee our in-flight data and systems and manage our data contracts.

As Icelandairs' Flight Data Manager you will think strategically about our business, product, and operational challenges. Your first priority will be to create a framework to ensure immediate resolution of streamlining contracts, dive deep into data streams of the aircrafts and map out the opportunites for development in the field. You see the devil in the details and you have passion to simplify contracts and processes built on them. You will develop plans to build awareness of IT products available, gather and action IT service improvement feedback, and deliver targeted communications to this customer group.

 

Success in this role will require an ability to:

  • Thrive in the face of ambiguity; address and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Understand strategic initiatives and drive them to a successful conclusion.
  • Build trusting relationships allowing you to own and drive programs.
  • Liaise between stakeholders, IT and engineering teams across operations.
  • Support development of best practices and initiatives that involve cross-functional coordination.
  • Manage contracts and map out opportunites to structure them
  • Coordinate organizational and technical change management between multiple teams to meet a deadline.
  • Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of IT service management concepts and processes.
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable program results
  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
  • Experienced in gathering requirements and developing system specifications.
  • Aviation industry experience.
